Eligibility
Eligible U.S. small businesses only. The PI’s primary employment must be with the company. STTR requires a qualifying research institution.
Requirements to verify

- Phase II is for eligible NSF Phase I awardees—not a new-applicant award.
- Verify the controlling SBA ownership and U.S. performance rules.
