Only relevant for widely adopted foundational infrastructure with real maintenance needs. New prototypes and user-facing applications are explicitly outside scope.

Eligibility

Global projects may apply. Free/open code and documentation, community expertise and no duplicate public funding for the same work are required.

Requirements to verify

Requested work costs must exceed €50,000; this is a minimum, not an award cap.
Do not propose a new prototype or closed app.
Plan for a process that may take around six months.
